No More Goopy Dental Impressions – Say Hello to Our Digital Intra Oral Scanner
6/10/2021
Once upon a time, impressions were made using bulky metal dental trays that could dig into your gums and irritate the insides of your mouth. The trays were filled with a goopy putty that was not only messy, but it didn’t taste very good either. Getting the finished impressions back could take awhile, delaying the start of orthodontic treatment.
Thanks to advances in orthodontic technology over the years, instead of impressions we can now make detailed 3-dimensional renderings of your teeth and mouth in real time. During your new patient consultation, we will complete a full scan of your teeth. Instead of using those hard metal trays to take those goopy impressions, we use a 3d intraoral scanner, which scans your teeth and gums.
This amazing cutting-edge technology allows us to have immediate scans of your teeth available, which Dr. Paschal uses to determine a specifically unique treatment plan for you. Not only can you watch the images being built on a computer screen beside you, but we can also give you an idea of what your actual smile can look like once treatment is completed.
Our patients and their families are really loving how up to date our technology is here at Paschal Orthodontics, allowing a patient experience like never before. Schedule your free consultation today. We look forward to meeting you and giving you the smile you’ve always dreamed of.
