Although the biology of tooth movement has not changed, the methods that we now use to align teeth are much different than they were even five years ago. Yet it can be very tempting to try out the do-it-yourself orthodontics that we’ve all seen on TV and the internet. These options make it appear that, with only a few clicks, we can have the smile we’ve longed for. That’s simply not a reality for the vast majority.
